Whittier: Man Arrested After Slow-Speed Pursuit

07.11.2020 | 11:15 PM | WHITTIER – A man who led officers on pursuit in a vehicle that had been reported stolen was arrested, late Saturday night.

Officers spotted a white Toyota 4Runner that had been reported stolen being driven near the intersection of Beverly and Norwalk boulevards and attempted to stop the vehicle around 11:15 PM.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers and fled at slow-speeds.

Eventually the driver pulled over and exited before being shot with less-than-lethal ammunition.

Police detained the man without further incident.
