Whittier: Horrific Crash Leaves Man Dead, Vehicle In Pieces

07.28.2019 | 12:48 AM | WHITTIER – A man was dead after a high-speed crash into a pole that obliterated the vehicle he was traveling in, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pole in front of a church located in the 16200 block of East Whittier Boulevard around 12:48 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle in at least three pieces with a male partially ejected.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the solo male occupant and presumed driver deceased on scene.

All lanes of East Whittier Boulevard were closed while authorities investigated the crash and collected evidence from the massive debris field.
