Whittier: Fire Rips Through Historic Home

Authorities responded to reports of a fire at a home in the 6200 block of South Washington Avenue around 8:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a two-story home with fire showing through the roof.

Firefighters evacuated the home and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.

The home was built in 1915 and is considered historic by community members.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
