Whittier: Deputy Injured After Patrol Vehicle Overturns During Crash

11.27.2019 | 11:03 PM | WHITTIER – A deputy was injured after a crash involving an SUV left his patrol vehicle overturned, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputy near the intersection of Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway around 11:03 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a marked LASD patrol vehicle overturned on its roof and a black Toyota Rav4 SUV with major front-end damage.

No serious injuries were reported but firefighter paramedics transported the deputy for evaluation.

The cause of the crash is under investigation however slick roads may have played a role.
