Whittier: Crash Into Tree Leaves Driver Dead

12.15.2019 | 3:47 AM | WHITTIER – A person was dead after their vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports a truck that had collided with a tree on Lambert Road just east of Scott Avenue around 3:47 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a single vehicle crash into a tree with major damage and a driver trapped inside.

Firefighters worked for over 40 minutes to free the trapped driver before pronouncing them deceased on scene.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
