Westmont: Two Pedestrians Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver

09.25.2019 | 8:25 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two pedestrians were killed by a hit-and-run driver, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two pedestrians near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 95th Street in the unincorporated area of Westmont around 8:25 PM.

Units arriving on scene located two men down in the roadway suffering from injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced one man deceased on scene and transported the other to an area hospital. The second man was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The impact of the crash sheared off the hit-and-run driver’s license front plate and authorities quickly located the associated vehicle, reportedly a Mercedes-Benz.

The driver of the vehicle remained at large and anyone with information was urged to contact the California Highway Patrol’s South Los Angeles Office.
