Westmont: Man Expected To Die After Shooting

02.09.2020 | 12:40 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was expected to die after being gunned down in the driveway of a residence, Sunday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 1200 block of West 97th Avenue near Budlong Avenue in the Westmont area around 12:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a 43-year-old male victim down in the driveway of a home suffering from a gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was listed as “death imminent.”

Deputies cordoned off the scene of the shooting and were searching for clues.

No motive was immediately available and it was unclear if the shooting was gang-related.
