Westheimer Fatal Crash, Houston, TX

DETAILS:
- It was reported that yesterday, Memorial Village PD attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lights.
- That vehicle did not stop and sped off. Memorial Village PD did not pursue the vehicle.
- Today, Memorial Village PD saw the same vehicle with no tail lights on and attempted to make a traffic stop on it again.
- Once again, the vehicle sped off from the officers.
- Memorial Village PD was not in an active pursuit.
- The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Westheimer running several lights.
- The suspect crashed into 2 vehicles at Gessner and continued eastbound.
- The suspect came to the Fondren intersection where he struck another vehicle, which caused the suspect vehicle to crash near a building and pole.
- The suspects vehicle caught fire.
- The driver, only occupant, was not able to get out and died at the scene.
- The driver of the white Crown Victoria was transported by ambulance and will be okay.
- The other people involved at the Gessner crash, had minor injuries.
- Investigation is on going.
