West Whittier: Mother Stabbed By Son During Fight

06.18.2019 | 2:30 AM | WEST WHITTIER – A woman was hospitalized after being stabbed by her son during a domestic dispute, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a domestic dispute at a residence in the 11400 block of Mines Boulevard in West Whittier around 2:30 AM.

Deputies arriving on scene located a woman in her 50s with a knife protruding from her stomach. The woman reported that her son had stabbed her with the knife during a dispute.

Firefighter paramedics treated the woman on scene before rushing her to a nearby trauma center for treatment.

The apparent suspect, a male in his 20s, was seen being led out of the residence in handcuffs by deputies.

An investigation is ongoing.
