Welder Injured in Tank Explosion | National City

12.28.2021 | 10:04 AM | NATIONAL CITY – The male employee was welding on a reported gas tank in a ship repair business when there was an explosion.

A tank of some type was blown up to 50 feet in the air and other metal pieces became shrapnel.

The employee suffered life-threatening head injuries and possibly other injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

CalOSHA is on the way for the investigation.
