Watts: Family Displaced After Room Fire

11.06.2018 | 12:16 AM | WATTS – At least two were displaced after a fire in the room of a residence, early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the Watts Housing Project located in the 10000 block of South Fifth Boulevard in the Watts area of Los Angeles just after midnight.

Crews arriving on scene found smoke and fire emanating from the room of a residence and initiated efforts to attack the blaze.

The fire was contained to a single room of the residence and no injuries were reported.

The occupant of the residence reported that an explosion woke her up before she noticed the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
