Wanted Felon Captured With Large Quantity of Narcotics After Pursuit | San Diego
08.21.2022 | 12:20 AM | SAN DIEGO – SDPD officers spotted a stolen truck that they had pursued last week in the eastern portion of the city, and the suspect had gotten away. The truck was stolen out of Chula Vista. When the male suspect spotted the officers behind him, he sped away in an attempt to escape. He drove into Teralta Park when he hit a tree and crashed into a park lamp pole. The suspect then ran away with officers in pursuit. He was taken down at gunpoint approx 200 yards away inside of a parking garage. Inside the truck, officers found a large quantity of fentanyl and meth. He has already wanted on a felony warrant but now will be charged with various crimes including possession of the stolen truck and narcotics for sale. He was transported to a local hospital when he told the officers he had swallowed some of the Fentanyl in an attempt to get rid of the evidence.
