DETAILS:

1. An Oceanside Motor officer was hit by another vehicle
2. he was doing escort duty for Vice-President JD Vance, who was in Oceanside for the weekend.
3. and was heading back to the station
4. The officer was transported with unknown injuries to a local hospital.
5. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the Police.
