Violent Crash Into Pole Leaves One Trapped | Riverside

12.02.2021 | 10:40 PM | RIVERSIDE – Riverside Police Department and Riverside Fire Department responded to a two-car traffic collision.

When they arrived, they found two vehicles one with moderate to major damage, with one of the vehicles into a pole with all the airbags deployed.

one person in the vehicle into the pole was trapped. The call was upgraded to a cut and rescue and multiple other units were assigned.

The initial engine at the scene was able to pop the passenger door of the vehicle without extrication tools to safely remove the passenger.

Two people were transported, one with non-life threatening injuries, the second in an unknown condition.

What lead to the accident isn’t clear at this time.  It is unknown if drugs, alcohol, or the light fog played a role in the accident.
