Vigil for Valencia High School Football Player Fallen to Leukemia | Santa Clarita
2.4.2021 | 8:00 PM | SANTA CLARITA – A vigil was held for a 17 year old Valencia High School student that passed away from a relapse of leukemia.
Pedro Roman, a Valencia High School football player, battled leukemia since September 2019.
After a hard battle, it was announced he passed Monday (Feb 1, 2021).
The vigil brought 100s of students, staff, friends, and family together.
Purple glow sticks (one of Valencia High School’s school colors) were handed out throughout the crowd.
Balloons were let into the sky as the glow sticks were held up.
A photo of Pedro was signed by JV football players (Pedro’s teammates).
Pedro’s jersey number was 21.
He was remembered as a great football player, and even better friend
