Vermont Square: Crash Leaves Pedestrian Dead

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 2000 block of West Vernon Avenue in the Vermont Square area around 9:24 PM

Units arriving on scene located a pedestrian suffering from major trauma after being struck by a grey Honda sedan.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased on scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

The age or gender of the victim was not immediately identified.
