Ventura: Teenage Girl Injured After Being Shot

04.24.2020 | 10:36 PM | VENTURA – A 13-year-old girl was hospitalized after being shot by a suspect who remains outstanding, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 1300 block of Saratoga Avenue around 10:36 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a 13-year-old female with a gunshot wound she sustained while riding her bicycle.

Firefighter paramedics treated the teenage girl on scene before transporting her to an area hospital in unknown condition.

Officers believe the shooting occurred at a different location somewhere on West Ramona Street and were searching for clues.

No suspect information or motive was immediately available.

It was unclear how the teen was transported from the scene of the shooting.
