Ventura: Rising Tides Strand Man On Island
04.08.2019 | 12:48 AM | VENTURA – A man who became stranded on a beach island amid rising tides was rescued, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a man stranded on an island near Surfer’s Point around 12:48 AM.
Crews arriving on scene located the male on the small island surrounded by water from rising tides.
Rescue swimmers deployed to the man’s location and were able to successfully escort him to safety.
The man was evaluated on scene by medical personnel but declined transport to a hospital.
It was unclear what the man was doing on the island so late at night.
