Ventura: Reckless Driver Flips Vehicle, Trapping Passengers Before Fleeing On Foot

11.04.2019 | 2:31 AM | VENTURA – Two people were trapped after the vehicle they were riding in overturned, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle that had overturned onto a cargo van with victims trapped inside near the intersection of Johnson Drive and Swan Street around 2:31 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle on its roof resting against a cargo van with two occupants trapped inside.

Firefighter paramedics extricated both occupants within 15 minutes before transporting them area hospitals.

Initial reports indicate the sedan was being driven recklessly moment before the crash.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
