Ventura: Man Crashes Into Power Pole

04.09.2019 | 3:19 AM | Ventura – A man is lucky to be alive after he crashed into a pole, causing it to land on top of his truck, Tuesday morning.

Ventura police received a call regarding a solo vehicle crash at Bryn Mawr Street & Telephone Rd.

Once arriving on scene, officers found a truck that was traveling eastbound on Telephone Road when the driver lost control, slamming into a power pole.

The impact sent the power pole crashing down on top of the truck.

The male driver was able to make it out of the truck, though sustained moderate injuries and had to be transported to a local trauma center.

Power lines could be seen strewn across the truck and the roadway, causing the road to be closed for some time while officials worked to deem the area safe again.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
