Ventura: Drug Lab Discovery Prompts Apartment Evacuation

05.21.2020 | 12:00 AM | VENTURA – A drug lab discovered inside an apartment prompted evacuations, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a suspicious odor emanating from an apartment located in the 700 block of East Santa Clara Street around 12:00 AM.

Units arriving on scene discovered a drug lab with unstable chemicals inside and began efforts to evacuate the apartment  building.

At least one person from the apartment was detained in the back of a police car while a task force responded to secure the drug lab.

No additional details were immediately available.
