CHP Officers & Good Samaritan Catch Loose Dog | Ventura
07.06.2021 | 12:25 AM | VENTURA – CHP Ventura officers responded to a call of a dog running in lanes of the southbound 101 Freeway near the transition to the 126 east.
The dog was seen jumping over the center divider and later found in a fenced area under the 101 on E Main St.
Officers tried offering the dog some treats for an easy catch to no avail.
After some time, the dog got friendly with a Good Samaritan who was able to pick the dog up and place it in the CHP unit without a fight.
The officers were able locate the owners with some sleuthing and learned the dog’s name was Sally.
The owners were very grateful for Sally’s safe homecoming.
