Venice: Actor Orson Bean Struck, Killed While Crossing Street

02.07.2020 | 7:36 PM | LOS ANGELES – Veteran actor Orson Bean was killed after being struck by two vehicles as he crossed a street, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 700 block of Venice Boulevard in the Venice area around 7:36 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a pedestrian, later identified as 91-year-old Orson Bean of Venice, down in the roadway suffering from major injuries after being struck by two vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics attempted to perform life-saving measures but tragically Bean was pronounced deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate Bean was clipped by a vehicle and was down in the roadway when a second distracted driver struck and killed him.

Both drivers remained on scene and were cooperating with law enforcement.

It was not immediately known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
