After over a year and a half, CHP – Arrowhead was able to request Desert Valley Towing to come out to highway 18 today.

Desert valley towing spent the entire day working to recover the white vehicle that has rested 1000 ft. Down the cliff in the bonnie canyon area.

Their workers hiked by foot all the way to the vehicle to attach cables to the vehicle and began pulling the vehicle up the cliff. After a days worth of work, Desert Valley Towing successfully pulled the vehicle to the road and took the vehicle away.

Sadly, this vehicle drove off highway 18 over two summers ago resulting in a tragic death. The body of the deceased was hoisted from the cliff the day of the incident but the vehicle remained.

For over a year and a half drivers reported the vehicle as a possible new incident multiple times per week and month.
- This vehicle had originally been reported as (Non-retrievable) due to the dangerous terrain and distance, and it was reported that the vehicle would remain there forever.
