Vehicle Flips Into Tree Atop Cliffside In Montara, CA

 

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 6-26-25 2:44 PM
LOCATION: Highway 1 at Gray Whale Cove
AREA/CITY: Montara
DETAILS:

1. First responders respond to a reports of an overturned vehicle off the roadway just north of Montara State Beach.
2. Upon arrival, they located a victim trapped inside the vehicle, which was leaning over the Cliffside against the tree.
3. Additional resources were requested to perform an extrication of the victim, and secure the vehicle.
4. The victim was rescued, and transported to an area hospital for unknown injuries.
5. Highway 1 reopened around 4:30 PM.
