Vehicle Fire Spreads to Vegetation

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-3-25 5:14 PM
LOCATION: Eden Canyon Road and I-580
AREA/CITY: Castro Valley
DETAILS:

1. Firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle on fire spreading to the nearby hillside.
2. Upon arrival, firefighters located a fully involved vehicle, and a fire burning up the hillside.
3. Additional air and ground resources were requested, and stopped forward progress of the fire within 2 hours at just over 18 acres.
