Van Nuys: Victim Clings Onto Suspect Vehicle After Armed Robbery
01.20.2020 | 12:30 AM | LOS ANGELES – An man suffered minor injuries after jumping onto the back of a van occupied by armed suspects who had just robbed him, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Domino’s Pizza located at the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Vanowen Street around 12:30 AM.
Units responding to the scene learned that the victim of the robbery had jumped onto the rear of a white van occupied by the suspect’s who had robbed him.
A police helicopter located the fleeing van and directed ground units in to make a high-risk traffic stop.
Officers took the at least three suspects into custody and allowed the victim to be brought to safety.
Firefighter paramedics treated the victim on scene for a broken nose.
The circumstances surrounding the armed robbery remain under investigation.
