Van Nuys: Officers Attempt To Disperse Street Cruisers
05.16.2020 | 9:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – A group of over 500 street cruisers were being dispersed by officers as an “unlawful assembly,” Saturday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a large group of street cruisers congregating in near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Burbank Avenue in the Van Nuys area around 9:00 PM.
Units arriving on scene located at least 500 vehicles including lowriders, motorcycles, and exotics engaging in a street cruise.
Officers requested additional assistance and worked to dispurse the cruisers as an “unlawful assembly.”
Some vehicles were stopped but it was unclear if citations were being issued.
No incidents of violence or injuries were immediately reported.
