Van Nuys: Man Fatally Struck By Pickup In CVS Parking Lot

08.06.2019 | 1:57 AM | VAN NUYS – A man was dead after being struck by a pickup truck in the parking lot of a CVS, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the parking lot of a CVS in the 15000 block of Sherman Way in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles around 1:57 AM.

Units arriving on scene found an adult male down in the driveway of the business suffering from serious trauma.

Firefighter paramedics performed life-saving measures and transported the victim to an area hospital.

Despite the efforts of first-responders and medical professionals the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The driver that struck the man reported that the victim was laying on the ground when he accidentally struck him.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident is underway.
