Van Nuys: Grass Fire Burns Alongside Busy Freeway
07.07.2019 | 12:24 AM | VAN NUYS – A grass fire prompted the closure of a freeway onramp as crews worked to battle the blaze, early Sunday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a grass fire adjacent to the southbound I-405 near Roscoe Boulevard around 12:24 AM.
Crews arriving on scene located a grass fire that ignited on both sides of the Roscoe Boulevard onramp.
The onramp was closed while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were immediately reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
