Van Driver Killed After Suffering Medical Emergency While Driving | San Diego

10.21.2022 | 10:41 AM | SAN DIEGO – It’s believed at this time, that the male driver of the work van had a medical episode and lost control of his vehicle as he was driving westbound on Tierrasanta Blvd. The van left the roadway and went up the hillside embankment and traveled for approx 150 through the brush. The van landed back on the right shoulder of the road. 1st Responders started life-saving measures after extricating the male from the van. Eventually, the LUCAS 3 CPR machine was put on the victim. He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in CPR status and is not expected to survive. the #3 lane of westbound Tierrasanta Blvd is closed for the accident investigation.
