Vacant Apartment Complex Burns Again In Houston

An early morning fire tore through a vacant apartment complex in north Houston on July 5, 2026.

At approximately 5:10 a.m., Houston Fire Department crews responded to a reported structure fire near the intersection of Seminar Drive and Greens Road.

According to information at the scene, the apartment complex appeared to be vacant and has experienced previous fires.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, with the bulk of the fire extinguished by approximately 5:40 a.m.

As crews worked to overhaul the scene and extinguish remaining hot spots, southbound traffic on Hardy Street at Greens Road was temporarily blocked.

No injuries were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire has not been released and remains under investigation.
