Upland: Baby Found Dead After Other Baby Is Thrown From Balcony By Mother
02.26.2019 | 11:30 AM | UPLAND – A mother was in-custody after police discovered a dead baby inside the home of a mother who threw her other child from a balcony before jumping herself, Tuesday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a baby that had been thrown from a balcony in the 660 block of North Wedgewood Avenue around 11:30 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a baby on the ground beneath a second-story balcony with a female standing on the balcony.
Before officers could intervene the female jumped from the balcony.
Firefighter paramedics treated both the baby and mother on scene before transporting them to Loma Linda Hospital.
Upon entered the woman’s home officers found a second baby unresponsive. The child was transported via helicopter to Loma Linda Hospital before being pronounced deceased.
A large perimeter was established while police worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
