Undercover Officers Take Down Reckless Driver | San Diego

08.20.2021 | 9:40 AM | SAN DIEGO – The male in the red Ford truck was driving recklessly somewhere in the City of Santee.

A Deputy attempted to stop the driver and the driver fled and made his way onto Hwy 67 in Santee.

The driver was acting erratically and was reaching speeds of 90 mph.

The driver went from the southbound Hwy 67 to the I-8 west.

The pursuit went from El Cajon all of the ways to the Ocean Beach area.

The driver made a U-turn and went eastbound on the I-8 to the southbound I-5.

The driver then made his way to eastbound Hwy 54 to southbound I-805.

When he reached the I-905, he went westbound on exited on Picador Ave, and went east down Del Sol Blvd to Dennery Row.

Law Enforcement backed off earlier and had the Sheriff’s ASTREA helicopter follow overhead so that the driver would slow down.

He went east on Ocean View Hills Parkway and made his way back towards the I-905.

When he stopped at the red light, undercover deputies blocked his progress and dragged him out of the truck at gunpoint as he was resisting them.

He was taken into custody at this point.

He had a meth pipe in his possession. When he stopped at the red lights, he was highly agitated, moving his arms all around and screaming at no one.
