Two Women Rescued After Driving Into Flooded Street | Hollywood

07.20.2022 | 2:38 AM | HOLLYWOOD – LAFD responded to a reported flooding at 2330 Cahuenga Blvd.

Units arrived to find a broken water main.

Firefighters called for DWP and DOT to respond.

While DWP worked to shut down the water a woman drove her vehicle into the flooded intersection getting stuck.

The driver and passenger climbed out of the vehicle and sat on the roof.

Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the woman from the vehicles roof.

No injuries were reported and as of 4:20 A.M. DWP was still working to shut down the main.

This is the third time in the last 18 months that a main break has occurred in this area.
