Two Women Killed in Chain Reaction Crash

The initial crash involved a black sedan that was reportedly struck from behind by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.

The black sedan was disabled and came to rest facing the wrong direction in the middle of the freeway.

One female occupant was inside the black sedan at the time. It is currently unknown if she died from the first impact or a secondary collision.

A Ford Explorer carrying two women stopped nearby in an attempt to provide assistance.

The female passenger exited the Explorer to check on the situation.

A blue sedan then attempted to swerve around the disabled black sedan but struck it and also struck the female pedestrian who had exited the Explorer.

Both females — one in the black sedan and the other a pedestrian from the Explorer — were pronounced deceased at the scene.
