Two Teens Shot During Meetup In Houston

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on May 21, 2026, officers responded to a shooting call on Oak Vista Drive in Houston.

Responding officers located two teenage males suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities say a 17 year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, while a 19 year-old male was shot in the arm.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where the 17 year-old was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe the victims had gathered at the location for a meetup when the shooting occurred.

One person was detained at the scene, and investigators recovered two firearms as part of the investigation.

Homicide detectives continue working to determine what led up to the shooting.
