- Scottsdale Police and Fire responded to a two vehicle traffic accident that occurred in the intersection of the Loop 101 and Shea Boulevard.
- Crews arrived and located two white SUVs that had collided in the intersection causing one of the vehicles to rollover.
- Firefighters determined that the two occupants of the vehicle that rolled over were unable to exit on their own and would need assistance.
- Firefighters broke the front windshield of the car before extricating both patients and transporting them.
- The two occupants of the other vehicle were evaluated and did not sustain any serious injuries.
- According to Scottsdale Fire radio traffic:
- The two that were extricated sustained non-life-threatening serious injuries.
- Westbound traffic on Shea Boulevard was diverted onto the 101.
