- RIVERSIDE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT AND CAL FIRE RIVERSIDE COUNTY WATER RESCUE TEAMS RESPONDED TO 2 PEOPLE, A MAN AND A WOMAN AND A DOG TRAPPED ON AN ISLAND IN THE SANTA ANA RIVER BOTTOM WITH FAST RUSHING WATER AROUND THEM AND UNABLE TO GET OUT.
- THE SWIFT WATER RESCUE TEAM RESPONDED AND THE PEOPLE WERE LOCATED AND RESCUED FROM THE ISLAND.
- AIR RESOURCES WERE REQUESTED BUT LATER CANCELED.
- THE DOG WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL SHELTER WHERE THE COUPLE WILL BE PICKING IT UP.
- THE PEOPLE DID NOT NEED ANY MEDICAL ATTENTION BUT ARE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FOR HOUSING AND HOMELESS RESOURCES.
