Two Men Found Dead Inside Houston Home

Houston police are investigating after two men were found dead inside a home Sunday evening after a neighbor reported a foul odor coming from the residence.

Officers responded around 5 p.m. on September 14, 2026, to the 11600 block of Downey Street following the neighbor’s call.

Police forced entry into the home and discovered two deceased adult males inside. Authorities said both bodies were in a state of decomposition.

HPD crime scene investigators responded to process the residence as detectives began investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The identities and ages of the two men were not immediately available. Authorities had also not released information regarding how long they may have been inside the home or their causes of death.

HPD Detective Herrera provided information regarding the investigation at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
