Two LASD Deputies Shot in Ambush in Compton and NPR Reporter Arrested At Hospital Protest
09.12.20 | COMPTON, CA – Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were shot in the head after an ambush in Compton. The deputies were sitting in their patrol vehicle outside the Metro station at Willowbrook Ave when the gunman opened fire, shooting both deputies in the head. The deputies were transported to the hospital, where they were met by a group of protestors. One deputy is critical condition, and the other is in grave condition. The suspect is outstanding. In addition, a KPCC reporter was arrested while covering the protest. She was cited with Obstruction and released.
