Two Killed in High-Speed Wrong-way Crash

LOCATION: Intersection of E Warner Ave. & S. Main St.
AREA/CITY: Santa Ana
DETAILS:
- Just before 6:45 PM, units from the Santa Ana Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to a traffic collision at the intersection of east Warner Avenue and South Main Street in Santa Ana.
- Arriving units found four vehicles involved in the collision with four parties injured.
- Two of the victims were declared deceased on scene by paramedics.
- Four others were extricated and transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition.
- According to witnesses that did not want to appear on camera, the car with one of the deceased was traveling at high rate of speed in the Historic South Main Street area.
- The second deceased party was an innocent driver.
- A local business provided surveillance video of the incident to Onscene TV.
- The Major Accident Investigation Team is working on determining the cause of the crash.
