DETAILS:
- First responders were dispatched to a solo vehicle accident.
- Arriving units found a vehicle had gone off the roadway and crashed at a high rate of speed into a backhoe at a construction site.
- LAFD performed life-saving measures but was unsuccessful and declared two people deceased at the scene.
- No one was at the construction site at the time of the accident.
- LAPD Southeast is handling the investigation.
