Two Kids Killed in Apartment Fire

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-22-25 / 11:12 pm
LOCATION: 23 CASA GRANDE DR
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. HFD responded to reports of an apartment on fire.
2. Arriving crews found heavy fire coming from a two story apartment building.
3. Crews located two adults outside the apartment. One, a male with severe burns and a female with injuries. Both were transported by ambulance.
4. The male is in critical condition.
5. Fire crews went inside and discovered two children deceased inside.
6. It was reported the male was the grandfather of the children and attempted to go rescue the children but had to come back out.
7. The female is believed to be the mother of the children.
8. About 60 firefighters were at the scene.
9. Cause of the fire is under investigation by Arson.
10. No other injuries were reported.
