Two Injured When Airplane Crashes Into Field

DETAILS:
- A “Long Ez” plane crashed in a field near the Camarillo Water Reclamation Facility
- Firefighters arrived and discovered the plane sustaining major damage with two souls on board who had self extricated
- Both occupants were transported to a local hospital and sustained moderate injuries per PIO Brian McGrath
- Firefighters additionally secured a small fuel spill from the aircraft.
- Environmental Health and the Ventura County Department of Airports responded to the scene and the incident remains under investigation.
