Two Hospitalized After Challenger Crashes Into SUV In Katy

Two people were hospitalized, including a woman airlifted by Life Flight, following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in Katy, Texas.

The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. on September 22, 2026, in the 800 block of Katy Fort Bend Road.

According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Koehler, a white Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound when its front end collided with the passenger side of a gray SUV that was crossing the roadway westbound.

The SUV’s female driver was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight as a precaution. Her male passenger was also transported to a hospital. Both were reported to be in stable condition.

The male driver of the Dodge Challenger was not injured. All three people involved were adults.

Investigators reported no signs of intoxication, and no charges had been filed at the time.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
