Two Firefighters Hurt Battling House Fire

DETAILS:
- A firefighter fell through the roof of a single story home that caught fire Friday night
- Firefighters responded to the area shortly before 9:15 PM in regards to house that was on fire
- When firefighters arrived, they located a single-family home, well involved in flames with an initial report of people trapped inside
- Firefighters began their initial fight and laddered onto the roof to help assist the fire fight
- One firefighter fell through the roof at one point and into the house. Other firefighters quickly assisted the firefighter out of the burning structure and walked him over to a nearby ambulance where he initially declined medical treatment
- Due to the severity of the fall, the firefighter was later transported to County USC
- Knockdown was declared around 9:55 PM
