- Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash just west of Baseline Road and 35th Avenue around 3:00 AM.
- Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified pedestrian in the roadway.
- Officers rendered aid until fire crews arrived on scene.
- Fire crews arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
- The vehicle that struck the pedestrian was found west of the scene at the Baseline Road entrance to Cesar Chavez Park.
- At least 2 males have been detained at the scene.
