- Two deputies were injured after two patrol cars collided while chasing down a suspected shooter early Monday morning
- East LA deputies were in the area in regards to reports of multiple shooting victims in the east LA area
- East LA deputies spotted a possible suspect running from them and began establishing a containment
- As deputies worked to contain the area, two patrol vehicles collided at the intersection, sending one into a building, and another one into a light pole that landed on the patrol car
- At least two deputies were transferred to area trauma centers in unknown conditions
- Originally, ELA deputies were called to Whittier Blvd & S Gerhart Avenue regarding reports of shots fired with one victim struck in front of Target
- An additional victim was located inside a pickup truck at Atlantic Avenue & Beverly Blvd minutes later. It is unclear how the victims became separated
- Both victims at each location were transported to area hospitals and details on the shooting remain unclear.
