Two Catalytic Converter Thieves Dead After Pursuit Crash | Houston

04.09.022 | 3:45 PM | HOUSTON – Pct 4 responded to 290 & 99 for reports of suspects stealing catalytic converters. The deputies attempted to stop the vehicle however they fled. A short (7 minute) pursuit ensued. The drivers fled at a high rate of speed and crashed near 99 & Champion Forest. The suspects left the road, struck several trees and caught on fire. One male was removed from the vehicle by constables. Two others were killed in the crash. The surviving victim was transported by ground to an area hospital in critical condition.
